Welcome to a page or two dedicated to an amazing Grand Prix simulation by Papyrus, Grand Prix Legends. Set in 1967, the game pits you against legendary names of Grand Prix including Jimmy Clark and Graham Hill in a simulation claimed to be the most detailed and accurate Grand Prix sim yet.

This site has been established to spur on 'friendly' competition between friends who I've introduced to GPL and are current or past students at Trinity College here in Cambridge, UK. The core of this small web site is the best lap times page, which is sufficient to keep us all practising when we can find the odd moment or two.

Other people out there have done a good job of pulling together hints and tips, and the array of add ons and utilities; the links page points to some of these - mostly the ones I go to from time to time.

The game allows the linking of up to 20 PCs for multiplayer action, and needless to say we have felt compelled to put this to the test - making use of a small network hub to relieve the college network, ofcourse. Some screenshots from the recent 5-way battles between Earl, Glass, Ingram, Peck and Rose will be posted when I get round to it.

You have to play this thing to believe it; there is a demo available from Papyrus. However, you will need a wheel and pedals to enjoy the game (as well as a 3dfx graphics card). So far we own in total six of them - it's a wonder any of us do any work at all. If all this sounds crazy or just a bit sad, however, take a look on the links page at how seriously some people take it... as well as how damn good they are...
